Dhamma Workshop: on 17 – 18 January 2017, Most Ven. Prof. Dr. Khammai Dhammasami, DPhil (Oxford), Founder of SSBU & Executive Secretary, IABU & IATBU; Professor, ITBMU; Fellow & Buddhist Chaplain, Oxford Centre for Buddhist Studies, University of Oxford, the Chief Abbot of Oxford Buddha Vihara (UK, Singapore, Malaysia, Ygn) lectured on “Compassion Engineers Happiness: Emotion Management Through Mindfulness (ဂရုုဏာအသိမွ တည္ေဆာက္ထားေသာေပ်ာ္ရႊင္မႈ၊ သတိပဌာန္ျဖင္႔စိတ္ခံ စားမႈဖႊံ႔ျဖဳိးေရးတရားပြဲသင္တန္း) (ပꨤင္သြꨓ္ထမ္းၾတꨣး – ꨡဝ္တꨤင္းꨟူꨵꨀရုꨓꨣꨲ ေသ ေꨀꨣꨲသꨤင္ꨳꨟꨱတ္းပꨱꨓ္လြင္ꨳမူꨓ္ꨳသူိဝ္း၊ ꨡဝ္ꨅ္ꨮသတိပထꨤꨓ္ꨲၾတꨣးေသ ꨬလꨳꨟꨱတ္းꨟꨮ္ꨳပꨤꨯးꨅ္ꨮꨁုိꨓ္ꨳယ္ꨮꨲ)”. The course was taking place in the assembly hall of Yangon Technological University, Yangon. It was a two days program by starting on January 17 and ending January 18, 2017.

This event was a course that teaching and practicing for applying such a healthy mind and emotional management based on the Buddha teachings. The technique was a modern methodology so as to involve problems within families, friendships and communities – applying in daily life.
The program was run all day long starting at 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in both days. According to the program, each day it’s divided into 3 sections. As usual, at the end of it, there was A&Q section, too.
In accordance with signatory, a total number of attendants had over 600 each day. At the end of the workshop, organizers and sponsors made sharing merits altogether.
